Spices and stock

I make use of spices every single day in my cooking and boy was I shocked to find out that most of them contain MSG!  I've always been so proud that I hardly ever snack on crisps/chips, especially due to their MSG content and here I am spicing my food and making my 'healthy' soups with it!

Well, I'm glad to report that I have now found a range of spices, seasoning, stock and gravy powder that is made in SA (proudly Capetonian in fact!) and also seems to not contain any harmful or questionable ingredients (please correct me if I am wrong! - see the faq section of Ina Paarman's website for more info).  Okay, so my mom and I agree that some of the seasoning mixes are a bit heavy on the salt, but at least most of it is sea salt and we use it in place of salt and in moderation which can't be so bad.  So, I'm now an Ina Paarman convert!  My favourite is the lemon & black pepper seasoning... packed with flavour and so useful in all sorts of dishes!  Let us know if you know of any other natural spice/seasoning alternatives that are Made in SA. [sorry if this sounded like an advert and please remember to always check the ingredients on packaging yourself!]
